Today, our CQDM team had the privilege of bringing together nearly 110 members of the life sciences ecosystem for two events focused on strategic sectors undergoing rapid change.

From Montréal to Sherbrooke: Two Sectors in the Spotlight

🌱 In the morning, some 40 participants gathered in Montréal at the Biologics Manufacturing Centre (BMC) for a Connect‑Café on biomanufacturing. Presentations by the BMC, Corealis Pharma, Biodextris and C3i showcased complementary areas of expertise, followed by a tour of the BMC facilities.

☢️ In the afternoon, our team headed to Sherbrooke for Connect‑Bio, organized in collaboration with TransferTech Sherbrooke and the Université de Sherbrooke. This first Sherbrooke edition dedicated to radiopharmaceutical innovation brought together nearly 70 participants.

Expertise Driving the Sector Forward

Our sincere thanks to our excellent presenters: Verkin Khajadourian, Director, Business Development, Contract Research (Cadena Research, a CPDC division); Peter Loparco, Director, Business Development and Investments, CPDC; Martin Lepage, Scientific Director of the Sherbrooke Molecular Imaging Centre (CIMS) platform and Full Professor at the Université de Sherbrooke; and Ryan Simms, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Radiopharmaceutical Programs at Defence Therapeutics.

When people who are deeply passionate about their work share their perspectives with an expert audience—on the latest advances, the challenges ahead and the possibilities on the horizon—we can truly say that we are shaping this sector together.

Conversations That Pave the Way for New Collaborations

As we write this update, conversations are still unfolding during the networking cocktail, creating opportunities for new connections.

Today’s events also provided an opportunity to promote the call for ideas launched with CPDC to foster new collaborations and accelerate radiopharmaceutical innovation.

Behind every scientific breakthrough are people who share knowledge, bring their expertise together and choose to build something collectively. Through collaboration, we can help pave the way for innovations that will transform research, care and patients’ lives.
