Carole Jabet, Steven Klein and Daria Riabinina join CQDM’s board of directors.

MONTREAL, October 11, 2023 – CQDM is proud to announce the appointment of Carole Jabet, Scientific Director at the Fonds de Recherche du Québec en Santé (FRQ-S) and Steven Klein, Chief Business Officer at Epitopea, to its board of directors. Also, Ms. Daria Riabinina, Director of Collaborative Research at the ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie du Québec (MEIE) is appointed to the CQDM board of directors as an observer.

These additions to the board of directors will bring a depth of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the life sciences sector, thereby consolidating and facilitating biopharmaceutical innovation in Quebec and Canada.

Ms. Jabet has been Scientific Director at the Fonds de Recherche du Québec en Santé (FRQ-S) since August 2019. Always very active in strategic research investment projects, she previously held the position of Deputy Director of Research at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM). She was also vice-president of scientific affairs for Génome Québec and strategic planning consultant for CapCOGITO.

Since December 2021, Mr. Klein has been Chief Business Officer at Epitopea, a spin-off company from IRICoR and Université de Montréal which is developing immunotherapies based on a new class of tumor-specific antigens. Immediately prior to this, he held the role of Vice-President, Business Development at IRICoR for over ten years. He was also a member of several boards of directors including those of BioTalent Canada and The Center for the Commercialization of Antibodies and Biologics.

Ms. Riabinina has been working at the ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie du Québec (MEIE) for 8 years, during which she held various positions including Director of Collaborative Research and Director of Technology Transfer. She was also an Industrial Research Advisor at the ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie and a research associate at the Université INRS.
