On the sidelines of BIO 2026, CQDM and Investissement Québec International brought together more than 100 life sciences stakeholders for a reverse pitch session aimed at accelerating biopharmaceutical R&D collaborations.
A format designed to align industry needs with innovation
The reverse pitch format enables large pharmaceutical companies to present their priorities and R&D needs directly to the ecosystem. Researchers, entrepreneurs, and Canadian leaders engaged with international partners to explore concrete collaboration opportunities.
Strong engagement across the ecosystem
The event brought together a diverse group of key players, fostering high-potential discussions. These direct exchanges help better align emerging innovations with real industry needs.
Engagement from global pharmaceutical leaders
Several major pharmaceutical companies – including Amgen, Daiichi Sankyo, Johnson & Johnson, Ono Pharmaceutical, Otsuka, Pfizer, Sanofi, and Servier- actively participated in the session. We thank their representatives for the quality of the discussions and their openness.
Advancing high-impact collaborations
These interactions provide a platform to identify tangible collaboration pathways and accelerate the development of innovative health solutions.
At CQDM, this is precisely where we focus our efforts: connecting Canada’s life sciences ecosystem with global pharmaceutical partners to foster impactful collaborations and drive innovation forward.
A strong signal for Canada’s global attractiveness
This level of engagement sends a clear message: Québec and Canada are emerging as partners of choice for biopharmaceutical R&D on the global stage.
