Connect‑Bio *Expanded* Brings Together Canada’s Genomics Ecosystem in Toronto

On March 26 in Toronto, more than 200 leaders, innovators, investors, and partners from Canada’s genomics and life sciences ecosystem gathered for Connect‑Bio Expanded—an event dedicated to omics technologies and their strategic role in advancing innovation in health and life sciences.

This dynamic day was driven by a shared ambition: to foster collaboration, accelerate partnerships, and turn scientific innovation into tangible outcomes for industry.

A Collaboration‑Driven Genomics Event

Throughout the event, participants engaged in high‑level discussions covering key topics such as:

  • Investment strategies
  • Regulatory pathways
  • Commercialization challenges
  • Real‑world success stories from the ecosystem

The energy and engagement were palpable, especially during networking sessions, where conversations continued well beyond the official agenda.

Thanks to the biopartnering platform, this event enabled targeted and high‑value interactions:

  • Over 385 meeting requests
  • More than 170 qualified connections
  • Over 160 scheduled one‑to‑one meetings
  • 2,600+ messages exchanged, reflecting a highly engaged and active ecosystem

Strong Industry Engagement

The event brought together a broad range of innovation stakeholders in life sciences, with a strong industry presence: biotechnology companies and contract research organizations (CROs) accounted for more than 50% of participants.
