Reporting to the Director of Scientific Affairs, the successful candidate will play an active role in various aspects of CQDM’s multidisciplinary and collaborative projects, with a primary focus on coordinating the projects under her supervision to ensure that objectives and milestones are achieved. This is a temporary, one-year position to cover a maternity leave.

As a key member of the CQDM team and reporting to the Director of Scientific Affairs, you will play an active role in driving the success of multidisciplinary, collaborative projects funded by CQDM. You’ll work hand-in-hand with colleagues and researchers to plan, monitor, and deliver high-impact innovation projects. Beyond project coordination, you may also contribute to project evaluation and other activities that support CQDM’s mission to fund and accelerate innovation. In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the projects under your supervision from start to finish.
  • Partner closely with CQDM’s Business Development team to ensure seamless knowledge transfer across projects.
  • Stay in regular contact with researchers to track progress and keep projects on course.
  • Guarantee that all required documents are delivered on time and meet the standards of CQDM, funding partners, and sponsors.
  • Take ownership of documentation management and the logistics of project-related processes.
  • Work with CQDM-funded researchers to build and maintain Gantt charts that track project timelines and progress.
  • Drive the follow-up on milestones and deliverables, collaborating with researchers and the CQDM team to resolve challenges.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for CQDM-funded projects and report on outcomes.
  • Contribute actively to project monitoring committee meetings.
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in a life sciences discipline.
  • Training or experience in project management (an asset), or in program management, research funding, or equivalent.
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in medical research, including the drug discovery and development process (an asset).
  • Strong knowledge of academic and industry research networks in Quebec (an asset).
  • Bilingual, with excellent written proficiency in both English and French.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and rigor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Dependability, initiative, leadership, and autonomy.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player with proven collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
