CQDM is a not-for-profit biopharmaceutical research consortium whose mission is to support and facilitate multi-stakeholder collaborative R&D aimed at accelerating the translation of innovative discoveries into vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostic solutions that address unmet medical needs. We bring together world-leading pharmaceutical organizations, several Canadian biotech companies, top researchers from the public and private sectors, as well as the governments of Quebec and Canada. Our collaborative approach bridges critical funding gaps to drive innovation, particularly in the early stages of research. In this context, CQDM also leads strategic initiatives, including AReNA, designed to strengthen and position priority innovation sectors within the biopharmaceutical ecosystem.


POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives, the Innovation Advisor, AReNA will actively contribute to the implementation and visibility of the AReNA initiative, notably through sustained field engagement and the deployment of enhanced efforts at both the national and international levels, as outlined in the funding renewal proposal.
In support of CQDM’s strategic priorities, the incumbent will play a key role in stakeholder engagement, the identification of collaboration opportunities, and the coordination of business development efforts related to the RNA therapeutics sector.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the visibility and advancement of Quebec’s RNA therapeutics sector at the national and international levels;
  • Maintain active engagement in the field through participation in events, missions, and key stakeholder activities;
  • Collaborate with economic development organizations to align efforts and maximize ecosystem impact;
  • Contribute to coordinated business development efforts with AReNA partners and broader stakeholders;
  • Identify and advance collaboration opportunities within the RNA therapeutics ecosystem;
  • Track and support international partnership opportunities aligned with CQDM’s strategic priorities;
  • Engage stakeholders and build sustained relationships across the sector;
  • Monitor scientific and technological trends to inform strategy and identify opportunities;
  • Support AReNA governance activities, including administrative follow-up and committee work;
  • Contribute to additional cross-functional priorities supporting the AReNA initiative.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in life sciences, biotechnology, innovation, or a related field;
  • 2 to 6 years of experience in roles related to innovation, collaboration development, or field-based activities within life sciences ecosystems;
  • Strong interest in RNA therapeutics and multi-stakeholder collaborative initiatives;
  • Good knowledge of, or strong ability to understand, the Quebec and Canadian biopharmaceutical ecosystems;
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken.
