Bio

Maïlyn Yates joined the CQDM team in February 2026 as a Project Manager, Scientific Affairs, a position in which she can leverage her understanding of the challenges of scientific research as well as her management skills.

Maïlyn holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Sherbrooke. During her doctoral studies, she focused on understanding the mechanisms of DNA repair pathways in response to replicative stress, with the aim of identifying new potential targets for improving cancer therapies. Throughout her academic career, Maïlyn presented her research at several national and international conferences and received numerous scholarships and awards. In addition to her scientific background, she also holds an MBA from the IAE of Poitiers in France.

Outside of her professional life, Maïlyn is passionate about adventures and loves backpacking to discover new countries and cultures. Each new destination is a source of personal enrichment for her. She also loves hands-on activities like pottery and painting, which allow her to explore her creativity.
