Bio

Annie joined the CQDM team in October 2023 as Project Manager of Scientific Affairs. Before joining the team, she spent over two years in Paris, where she was laboratory manager at the Curie Institute, a renowned cancer research and treatment centre. Her field of research focused on the immune cell dynamics in solid tumours and on cancer immunotherapy strategies that modulate the tumour microenvironment.

She holds a doctorate in microbiology and immunology from McGill University, and her research, under guidance from Selena Saga, Ph.D, focused on hepatitis C virus RNA interaction with cellular factors promoting its replication.

Annie has developed a passion for teaching. She is a staff trainer at CellCarta and has several teaching assistant roles at the Université de Montréal and McGill University.

Annie enjoys hiking, roaming trails and discovering the wonders of nature. Off the beaten track, she nurtures her imagination by assembling scale models, creating miniature worlds where she can let her creativity run wild. Her love for the earth is reflected in her garden, where she lovingly grows a variety of plants and flowers. Annie is an excellent advisor when it comes to science-fiction books. She is always ready to recommend the best novels and share her discoveries.
