Bio

Julien Dufort-Gervais joined CQDM in February 2026 as a Project Manager. In this role, he leverages his experience in preclinical development and fundamental research in Quebec to support the organization’s biopharmaceutical innovation initiatives.

Holding a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from Université de Montréal, Julien’s research has focused on the molecular mechanisms involved in Alzheimer’s disease, sleep, as well as spinal and cranial trauma. With ten scientific publications to his credit, he possesses a deep understanding of complex physiopathological mechanisms, particularly in the field of neuroscience. Before joining CQDM, Julien worked for a Contract Research Organization (CRO). He led in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies essential for the characterization of new drug candidates while serving as a strategic resource person for research teams.

A former elite volleyball athlete with the Université de Montreal Carabins, Julien remains a passionate sports enthusiast, dedicating his free time to triathlons and running. He is also an avid fan of music and travel, having attended several music festivals around the world.
