Bio

Juliette Sabbatani is an innovative scientist with nearly ten years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and drug discovery. A co-inventor on ten patents, she has led complex projects across academic, biotech, and startup environments.

During her four years at X-Chem, she led medicinal chemistry projects focused on developing drug candidates across a range of therapeutic areas, including neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders, and oncology. She subsequently continued in a similar leadership role at adMare BioInnovations for three years, overseeing the chemistry component of multidisciplinary projects arising from partnerships with academic teams, including a program that resulted in the creation of a new company. She was also involved in adMare BioInnovations’ accelerator program, where she supported three Quebec-based startups in their scientific and strategic development.

Juliette combines deep scientific expertise with strong experience in partnerships and biotech development strategies. Working at the interface of research and value creation, she contributes to advancing discovery programs toward more advanced stages of development.

Juliette’s academic background is international in scope. Trained in France at Université Lyon 1, she earned her PhD in chemistry from the University of Vienna, Austria, before pursuing postdoctoral training at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

On a personal level, Juliette is a strong team player both on and off the field. She plays rugby in Quebec with the Rugby Club of Montreal as a flanker. An outdoor enthusiast, she enjoys being outside year-round and has recently taken up skateboarding.
