CQDM is proud to be a partner of the 5th edition of the Sweet Pharma Day, a flagship event taking place on April 22, 2026. This unique gathering will showcase 16 Canadian start-ups, each presenting their innovative research projects to an audience of leading pharmaceutical companies, investors, and key life sciences organizations.
This event offers a unique opportunity to:
- Engage directly with international pharmaceutical companies and venture capital firms
- Build connections with influential players in Canada’s life sciences ecosystem
- Discover the finalists and winners of the 2026 edition, which will award three prizes: first prize, second prize, and the Coup de cœur award

Awards
During the event, three awards will be presented among the “Sweet 16” finalists:
- 1st Prize: $25,000
- 2nd Prize: $15,000
- Coup de cœur Award: $10,000
Application process
Interested companies must submit:
- A two-page executive summary
- A short presentation (maximum of five slides) highlighting their technology, therapeutic targets, and differentiating factors
Applications must be submitted through the online form (available soon) no later than Sunday, February 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (ET).
Partnering pharmaceutical companies will review the applications and select the 16 start-ups that will participate. Results will be announced by March 20, 2026.
