Bio

Samar Khoury joined CQDM in August 2024 as a Project Manager. Prior to joining, she worked in the banking sector in the treasury and payment solution department in the commercial division. 

Samar began her academic career as a research associate in the Department of Anesthesia at McGill University and then moved into the private sector. She acted as the medical director for a start-up company in the field of medical devices. Her key successes include expanding the portfolio from two products to four in the company’s pipeline. She also succeeded in increasing the market share of its blockbuster product by entering the over-the-counter market.

Samar holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Université de Montréal. During her academic career, she specialized in the field of neurogenetics. She has published more than 30 papers in the fields of pain, genomics, and sleep disorders. She was the recipient of several scholarships and awards and served on several executive committees for national and international scientific societies.
