{"id":6264,"date":"2026-09-15T07:58:07","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T11:58:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cqdm.org\/?post_type=program&#038;p=6264"},"modified":"2026-09-15T08:10:54","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T12:10:54","slug":"call-for-ideas-in-radiopharmaceuticals","status":"publish","type":"program","link":"https:\/\/cqdm.org\/en\/programs\/call-for-ideas-in-radiopharmaceuticals\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Ideas in Radiopharmaceuticals\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>Call for Ideas: New Canadian Approaches in Radiopharmaceuticals<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CQDM<\/strong> and <strong>CPDC (Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization)<\/strong> are pleased to launch a national call for ideas aimed at identifying innovative Canadian technologies, discoveries, and companies that can contribute to the next generation of radiopharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Canada has developed internationally recognized expertise across the radiopharmaceutical value chain, from target discovery and isotope production to clinical development and commercialization. Through this initiative, CQDM and CPDC seek to hear about emerging Canadian innovations and connect promising teams with CPDC investment team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\"><strong>What is the opportunity?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected applicants will be invited to present their technology, company, or research program to CPDC&#8217;s scientific experts and investment team during a virtual <strong>CQDM-CPDC Pitch Day.<\/strong> This call for ideas is not a grant competition and does not provide direct research funding outside investment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CPDC has played a key role in the creation and growth of globally recognized Canadian radiopharmaceutical companies, including Fusion Pharmaceuticals and AtomVie Global Radiopharma. This Pitch Day will provide selected participants with a unique opportunity to receive feedback and explore potential investment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, CQDM will offer guidance to selected participants interested in pursuing non-dilutive funding opportunities through relevant CQDM programs, including <a href=\"https:\/\/cqdm.org\/en\/programs\/synergiqc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SynergiQc<\/a> and\/or others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Research Focus Areas<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We welcome innovative technologies with strong scientific and commercial potential in radiopharmaceutical development, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Radiotherapeutics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Radiotheranostic pairs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Novel radiopharmaceutical targets and targeting approaches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Radiodiagnostics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New applications and indications beyond oncology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Technologies enabling radiopharmaceutical discovery, development, manufacturing, or scale-up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are particularly interested in solutions that address important clinical needs and demonstrate a clear path toward translation and commercialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who Should Apply?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applications are welcome from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canadian startups and SMEs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Established Canadian biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Researchers at Canadian universities and research institutions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic-industry partnerships and multidisciplinary teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Projects may be at various stages of development, provided they demonstrate innovation and potential commercial relevance in the radiopharmaceutical sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Process<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-black-color has-grey-200-background-color has-text-color has-background has-link-color wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\">Submission deadline is <strong>October 15, 2026<\/strong>.
