Today, our CQDM team had the privilege of bringing together nearly 110 members of the life sciences ecosystem for two events focused on strategic sectors undergoing rapid change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Montr\u00e9al to Sherbrooke: Two Sectors in the Spotlight <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf31 In the morning, some 40 participants gathered in Montr\u00e9al at the Biologics Manufacturing Centre (BMC) for a Connect\u2011Caf\u00e9 on biomanufacturing. Presentations by the BMC, Corealis Pharma, Biodextris and C3i showcased complementary areas of expertise, followed by a tour of the BMC facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2622\ufe0f In the afternoon, our team headed to Sherbrooke for Connect\u2011Bio<\/a>, organized in collaboration with TransferTech Sherbrooke and the Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke. This first Sherbrooke edition dedicated to radiopharmaceutical innovation brought together nearly 70 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expertise Driving the Sector Forward<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our sincere thanks to our excellent presenters: Verkin Khajadourian<\/a>, Director, Business Development, Contract Research (Cadena Research, a CPDC division); Peter Loparco<\/a>, Director, Business Development and Investments, CPDC; Martin Lepage<\/a>, Scientific Director of the Sherbrooke Molecular Imaging Centre (CIMS) platform and Full Professor at the Universit\u00e9 de Sherbrooke; and Ryan Simms<\/a>, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Radiopharmaceutical Programs at Defence Therapeutics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conversations That Pave the Way for New Collaborations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we write this update, conversations are still unfolding during the networking cocktail, creating opportunities for new connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today\u2019s events also provided an opportunity to promote the call for ideas<\/a> launched with CPDC to foster new collaborations and accelerate radiopharmaceutical innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind every scientific breakthrough are people who share knowledge, bring their expertise together and choose to build something collectively. Through collaboration, we can help pave the way for innovations that will transform research, care and patients\u2019 lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also thank the participating organizations and everyone who helped make these two gatherings such rich spaces for discussion and exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
