We bring together world-leading pharmaceutical organizations, several Canadian<br>biotech companies, the best researchers from the public and private sectors, as well as the<br>Qu\u00e9bec and Canadian governments. Our collaborative approach bridges the funding gap<br>needed to drive innovation, especially where early-stage research is concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-1-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-efe1a9b60731cb236988829a3f25c23e\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reporting to the Director of Scientific Affairs, this role will oversee administrative and<br>compliance tasks for new research grant applications across various programs. Additionally, it<br>will serve as a key resource for Project Managers, supporting all contractual activities<br>associated with CQDM&#8217;s collaborative projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-1-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-72a01f0d462bb3cd4966441352815128\"><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The individual in this role will actively participate, working closely with Project and Program<br>Managers, in the administrative, compliance, and contractual activities of CQDM\u2019s Scientific<br>Affairs team. Specifically, they will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review all necessary documents to verify grant eligibility and ensure compliance with<br>program requirements from initiation to completion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare decision letters for grant awards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as a resource person for contractual activities: Review research and funding<br>agreement and answer questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure that negotiated research and funding agreements adhere to the policies and<br>procedures of CQDM and funding partners, maintaining consistency with program<br>objectives and CQDM&#8217;s mission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with the CQDM\u2019s business development team and Project Managers to<br>facilitate effective knowledge transfer pertaining to projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in developing and drafting research agreement templates and related documents<br>for all new CQDM programs, in collaboration with external legal services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate communication with CQDM&#8217;s external legal services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foster and maintain relationships with research entities to facilitate seamless<br>operations and adherence to deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in project launch meetings and as needed, in project monitoring<br>committees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with the team of Project and Program Managers to communicate<br>procedural updates effectively and offer solutions to any potential issues that may<br>arise during the processing of grant applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate as necessary in Scientific Affairs group initiatives to offer support to other<br>teams, programs, departments, or strategic administrative endeavors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of the data entered in our database;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other related tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-1-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-19b2a12cced5003e50e50930f50f34b7\"><strong>QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>M. Sc. or Ph. D. in an appropriate discipline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Five (5) years or more of experience in contract management or in an administrative<br>position or any other relevant experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent knowledge of university and industrial research networks in Quebec<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge and\/or experience of the academic and industrial research environment<br>in medical sciences and the drug discovery and development process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of intellectual property management (an asset)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-1-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c7cb43a1579f167d3363a6f8ff611ac5\"><strong>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bilingualism, with excellent command of written English and French<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent sense of organization, rigor, and attention to detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good judgment and autonomy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong problem and conflict resolution skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong ability in communicating with internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate motivation and willingness to achieve objectives despite possible<br>challenges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent ability to work in a team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite and experience with Sharepoint (an asset)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-1-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b05b51cc7ee843050e31f692fbbb8dba\"><strong>START DATE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Immediately<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-1-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3106a12d6da58a14c5c0db84fb511ed3\"><strong>WORKING ENVIRONMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At CQDM, we are committed to providing competitive employment conditions and a flexible<br>hybrid work environment.
