Carole Jabet, Steven Klein and Daria Riabinina join CQDM\u2019s board of directors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MONTREAL, October 11, 2023 \u2013 <\/strong>CQDM is proud to announce the appointment of Carole Jabet, Scientific Director at the Fonds de Recherche du Qu\u00e9bec en Sant\u00e9 (FRQ-S) and Steven Klein, Chief Business Officer at Epitopea, to its board of directors. Also, Ms. Daria Riabinina, Director of Collaborative Research at the minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00c9conomie, de l\u2019Innovation et de l\u2019\u00c9nergie du Qu\u00e9bec (MEIE) is appointed to the CQDM board of directors as an observer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These additions to the board of directors will bring a depth of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the life sciences sector, thereby consolidating and facilitating biopharmaceutical innovation in Quebec and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their contribution will be an undeniable asset in continuing our commitment to supporting companies in their quest for innovation\u2019\u2019, declared Richard Fazjel, Chairman of the CQDM Board of Directors. \u2018\u2019We would like to take this opportunity to warmly thank Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Ors, who is leaving our board of directors after more than four years of valuable services,\u2019\u2019 declared Diane Gosselin, President and CEO of CQDM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Jabet has been Scientific Director at the Fonds de Recherche du Qu\u00e9bec en Sant\u00e9 (FRQ-S) since August 2019. Always very active in strategic research investment projects, she previously held the position of Deputy Director of Research at the Centre Hospitalier de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al (CHUM). She was also vice-president of scientific affairs for G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec and strategic planning consultant for CapCOGITO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since December 2021, Mr. Klein has been Chief Business Officer at Epitopea, a spin-off company from IRICoR and Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al which is developing immunotherapies based on a new class of tumor-specific antigens. Immediately prior to this, he held the role of Vice-President, Business Development at IRICoR for over ten years. He was also a member of several boards of directors including those of BioTalent Canada and The Center for the Commercialization of Antibodies and Biologics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Riabinina has been working at the minist\u00e8re de l\u2019\u00c9conomie, de l\u2019Innovation et de l\u2019\u00c9nergie du Qu\u00e9bec (MEIE) for 8 years, during which she held various positions including Director of Collaborative Research and Director of Technology Transfer. She was also an Industrial Research Advisor at the minist\u00e8re de l’Enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie and a research associate at the Universit\u00e9 INRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
