We bring together world-leading pharmaceutical organizations, several Canadian biotech companies, top researchers from the public and private sectors, as well as the governments of Quebec and Canada. Our collaborative approach bridges critical funding gaps to drive innovation, particularly in the early stages of research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-592ba2ecaed7420dbcd7b2300587edbb wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>POSITION SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Partnerships and Innovation Policy, the Innovation Advisor will play a key role in the structuring and evaluation of collaborative R&amp;D projects in the life sciences. You will act as a central interface between companies, researchers, and CQDM funding programs, ensuring the quality and relevance of the projects supported.<br>You will contribute to identifying funding opportunities, supporting partners in project development, and coordinating evaluation processes. Leveraging your understanding of scientific, industry, and funding environments, you will help maximize project impact and strengthen CQDM\u2019s positioning within the ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-926ee91a72402cddabe83f322aa8a0a8 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Business Development<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support the development of a pipeline of opportunities in biopharmaceutical innovation by building relationships with key stakeholders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as a liaison between partners to facilitate the development of high-impact collaborative projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribute to the preparation and quality of funding applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represent CQDM at events and support initiatives that strengthen ecosystem engagement and visibility.<br>Project Evaluation and Program Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate project evaluation processes with scientific committees, external reviewers, and decision-making bodies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations on submitted projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare briefing materials and presentations to support decision-making.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the management of complex projects in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9ecde7c4149c40d42a5513382f910337 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Graduate degree (Master\u2019s or PhD) in life sciences, biotechnology, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MBA or equivalent is considered an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical sector, including the drug development lifecycle and industry challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good knowledge of the Qu\u00e9bec and Canadian biopharmaceutical ecosystem, including academic and industry research environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Established network and proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with diverse partners.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-745bacc6c20ec9aaafe6980987fe7e3f wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SKILLS &amp; REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong sense of autonomy, initiative, and organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Well-developed analytical mindset combined with strong synthesis and critical thinking abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High level of rigour, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to integrate quickly and contribute effectively within a small, multidisciplinary team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-blue-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-be15d4a49e601cf358781072a67eeba2 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WORKING ENVIRONMENT <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At CQDM, we offer competitive employment conditions and a flexible hybrid work environment.
